Mermaid Bench
This custom designed and hand built bench functions as a contemporary take on the classic 'treasure chest”. The mermaid painted on the exterior of the bench pays homage to the fantastical history of the aquatic treasure trove sought by pirates and adventures alike. The glass mosaic surrounding the figure emulates the reflective quality of water. The top of the bench, padded and covered with elegant black silk, hinges upwards to provide hidden storage space. The bench is ideal for storing pillows, blankets, and other bedroom necessities. Both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, the mermaid bench is a one of a kind art object.
